There has been a little bit of mystery (and curiosity) in the air about the Airbnb’s new program featuring carefully selected and styled Homes. I’m really excited to say that after few months of working behind the scenes, the Airbnb Plus option has been announced and it is finally live! That means I will be able to show you some of my favorite homes we’ve selected and shot around Milan, which are not only stylish but also full of character and stories!
What is Airbnb Plus about, you wonder?
It combines the charm of unique homes and hotel-like service, a win-win for demanding travelers. Every Plus Home is one-of-a-kind, thoughtfully designed, and equipped with a set of amenities whether you are in a private room or have the entire place to yourself. For now it is live in 13 cities including Austin, Barcelona, Cape Town, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Melbourne, Milan, Rome, San Francisco, Shanghai, Sydney, and Toronto, so if you are planning a trip to any of these places, check out the PLUS option.
Taking a part in selecting, styling and shooting homes, was a real treat for the interior enthusiast like me, a great opportunity not only to see gorgeous homes but also to meet lovely owners and introduce them to you!
Today I want to show you the apartment of Marco Bove – a young illustrator working in the design industry.
Marco’s home stole my heart with its minimal, filled with light, nordic feeling interiors. The colors are shiny, muted and warm, mixed with tactile materials like light wood, matte surfaces, industrial metals.
Marco: “I never wanted to have a classic “Italian” house. I always loved free open industrial apartments, basic and functional designs and graphic decorations. My voyages in northern Europe and in Scandinavian countries gave me the main sources to begin projecting my spaces.
I often feel like a “wild animal” trying to get back to its true home: nature. Plants and green beings are all over my apartment, and outside the terraces. Since I developed a deep interest in nature and biology in my childhood, it’s important to bring a little piece of nature in my home. For me plants are not only ornamental, but can offer us a better air to breath, an inner feeling of harmony and a better life quality.”
Marco loves spending free time in his home feeling quiet and relaxed in a clean, uncluttered space while listening to the music, meditating, painting or playing guitar. A multi-talented owner in a gorgeous space!
Do you like it as much as I do? You can rent it through Airbnb here.
