I’m sure you would agree that lighting is what photography is all about. It also turns that, it be very interesting styling ‘element’ too, which can help create gorgeous interior scenes, when used with intention. In particular, light and shadows coming from the nearby window, leaving a window frame pattern on the wall. It’s a like an Art, painted with the light, would you agree? Have you ever used it in your stylings?
Styling Tip 2: Window light and shadows
The best way to style your home using light and shadows is to study at what time and on what wall, light creates the window shadows. We are currently restyling our bedroom and I can’t wait to have the frame appearing on the ‘right’ wall, currently it shows on the wardrobe door, which is not ideal. Once you located your window frame shadows, you can either permanently place objects around it for a repeated scene each day. or snap a photo or two. How do you like this idea?
Surfaces: Interior and exterior walls, floors
Props: It’s about getting creative – what works well are flowers, plants, chairs, little accessories placed in the light path or next to it.
I have to say, it’s only the second post but I’m really enjoying this blog series – it gives me a lot of inspiration and ideas, I hope you feel the same way!
