New Studio’s look with the stylish daybed from Karup

After seeing a little sneek peak of the studio, showing the new lamp on the wall, it’s time for the big reveal, featuring the daybed from Karup!

Aren’t day beds the most amazing pieces of furniture?

Once upon a time they served as place to relax, read, meditate, to eat or socialize (those were the days!) Today, although they might seem simple in shape and form they still give us plenty of design possibilities – you can use two of them in the living room to make a sectional couch, in the bedroom corner as an oversized bench or in your workspace as a seating area (aka nap zone if you are working long hours!) The concept of Karup aims to make the most out of space. Sofa by day, bed by night – versatile and functional, ideal in that extra room for overnight guests.

It turns out it isn’t so easy to find stylish design that isn’t way over the budget, or that’s what I thought before I came across Karup. Since my studio workspace is very small I was looking for simple, slim lines (nothing chunky!), something that is quick and easy to move around when needed and it seems like I found exactly what I was after!

I chose the PACE Daybed – it’s stylish, comfy and I can lie down for few minutes to stretch my back after long photoshoots (or at least that’s what I’m hoping to do one day!) With its simple, pine legs, it will never go out of style. It’s a perfect match for the minimal look in my space – a combination of Scandinavian design and Japanese creates perfect base for styling. What you see in the photos, is just the beginning, I’m sure there will be many more scenes styled around the daybed as I’m just totally in love with it!

What do you think about it? Do you like the look and feel of it as much as I do? I can’t wait to show you some more photos in the next few months when things get moving around here.
