Moving to a new place is always exhausting challenging but there is nothing more satysfying than seeing your favourite furniture and accessories starting to fill the corners. It puts a big, happy smile on my face and motivates me to continue the decorating process, do you know the feeling? It’s still a long way to make the new place reflect our style and feel like ‘home’ but I don’t want to rush things this time, I would much rather enjoy the process of curation than get it done fast and regret forced decisions. At least that’s a plan! Let’s see how it goes.
Until few days ago our bedroom featured only…one piece of furniture – the bed (yey for that!). I was extremly happy to receive a delivery from PIB and add a bit of style to that room with a new thisted cane armchair. It is like a breath of fresh air considering I’ve had this lovely design piece on my wishlist for quite a while. The natural matierial and simple form makes it a perfect Scandinavian Armchair. I really appreciated fast delivery too, very often when I order furniture online, the waiting time is 5+weeks (ehh)
I love how the armchair matches the floors and adds warmth to a white, still very minimal corner. The lamp you see in the photo is also from PIB, I got it few years ago and see that those two make a nice couple. Now we only need to hang the lamp on the wall 🙂
The white bedside table is temporary, lik many other items we brought with us from the old apartment. I probably shouldn’t say that (don’t judge!) but we are using my desk from the studio as our dining table at the moment (facepalm)
Yes guys, those of you who moved before know it’s a long process to get everything done and in place. The best way to go through it is to take things slow and actually enjoy it.
Would you agree?

This chair is absolutely beautiful and adds a lovely touch of warmth, like you said! Decorating is one of the aspects I look forward to most with my (hopefully near) future home.

Hi Milenka, thank you for your kind words. I’m very happy with the chair, I keep on admiring it :-)) Yes, decorating is a beautiful thing but also hard work so I think it’s important to take it slowly and enjoy the process 🙂 Have a wonderful evening! x
