Hello you all. How are you? Some of you might have already seen on my Instagram that I have received gorgeous interior book by Hans Blomquist called ‘In Detail’ from Decor8 and Ryland Peters so I thought I would share a little review with you. The book is an amazing visual inspiration for all of us who love staring at inspiring images but what I like the most about it is the focus on letting us, readers find our own way to see spaces through details and different ways of displaying them. Sounds interesting, right?
The book is divided into 5 main chapters: Nature, texture color, textile collecting and display, all playing an important role in the final look, we want to create. Hans, also gives practical, styling tips which I find very useful for both decorating our homes and photography. One of them is using painted backdrops at home, including fabrics which can be repainted every time we want to change or add color to our room. I have to say I never thought about it, but it’s also a great idea for photography backgrounds. So are you going to read ‘In detail’ ad try some of these great ideas? I already got some white fabrics which are waiting to be painted and take part in the future photoshoots.
And speaking about photography… snapping those pictures was my first attempt to moody images. First EVER. So would love to hear what do you think about them?
Have a great day guys!
