The older I get (only 14 days till I turn 29 for the second time) the more I appreciate simplicity – calming color palettes, whites (plenty of whites!) and airy atmosphere. So while I still love occasional pop of color and collecting strange things, my bedroom would probably be the last place to display them. Seems like less is more when it comes to getting a good night rest, which I never do anyway – but if my hyper-active self decides to sleep one day, I’ll have my oasis ready.
So that’s how it looks now – a simple room, with a gallery wall above the new and beautifully simple, white drawers. I wish I could say we’ve got one-each, but that would be a lie – I occupied 7,5 of them with my, now, invisable clutter. But it’s not my drawer that I want to talk to you about – it’s The Gallery Wall! My favourite way to add a bit of personality in a minimal room using a collection of inspiring prints, happy memories and flea market finds.
I’ve been very happy to team up with Minted again (remember the gallery wall in the studio?) to style their lovely prints and decorate my bedroom’s wall. I got to try Minted’s brand new frame formats and I really like how they look – there are two new options: matted and float moating which will be availabe for all the prints, very soon, so keep an eye for that! Also if you like the look of a gallery walls, but the idea of putting it together scares you (trust me it used to be very stressful for me in the past!) Minted can help you with their new Art styling service. Very thoughtful!
In the meantime here’s what I chose for our bedroom wall:
1.Composed
4.Seagulls
5.Willow
6.Presence
Other bedroom details:
DIY Wall Hexagon shelves / IKEA drawers + golden lamp / Rough Linen bedding / The Poster Club – New York Print / White Linen Lampshade – Minted
How do you like the idea of a bedroom gallery wall? I think it turned out pretty nice.
I have another update to share with you in the next few days, so if you want to see studio’s new wall color and more gorgeous prints, stay tuned.
Wishing you a great start of the week!
