A place to be – Volkshotel Amsterdam

pasionshake-volkshotel14 (1 of 1)Let’s talk about cool design today. I promised to share with you a few pictures of the legendary Volkshotel, I stayed in during my trip to Amsterdam. I think it wouldn’t be an exaggeration if i said it’s not just a hotel, it’s an experience – and definitely the one, you want to have! As you can read on the website Volkshotel is a hotel for single moms, for stockbrokers and punk rockers, for dandies and poets, for dishwashers, biologists, night bloomers, artists – it’s a hotel for everyone! This interesting, urban looking place is situated in the former printing house in the centre of Amsterdam which makes a perfect location for exploring the city. But I what I liked the most about it was the cool, industrial design and a positive vibe created by super friendly people, pops of color and a wide range of entertainment. You can have a drink at the lobby bar, visit art exhibition, dance at the rooftop club or relax in the sauna and hot tubes located on the top terrace.  Have a look at the photos I’ve taken and make sure to check it out when you are in Amsterdam. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

I was taken right away with that lobby bar and it’s unique surface treatment. I want to stay here! I’m going to pin your post so I can remember it when we visit – possibly next year!

  2. What I like most here is the target description. Such a smart marketing thing! Who would not love to discover the place and the staff that works there? I hope you had a good time, so sorry to have missed you! x

Same here Gudy, it’s very catchy and original. It was a very nice weekend, I’m very sad we didn’t get to meet in person but I’m sure there will be many more occasions. I need to make my way to Barcelona one day! 🙂

  3. Just love those chandeliers over the bar! Your images are lovely as usual…
