Ok, this is exciting. And NEW. If you are a regular here, you probably noticed, I find pretty much every post exciting, but this one is reaching level high!
Reason 1 – we are restyling our bedroom! Reason 2 – it’s completely spontaneous!
All of a sudden we (mainly me and I) decided to make some changes. Normally, I would plan a renovation many weeks ahead, spend days to choose the paint color – try it out – think – try another paint – think – consult with friends and family – think – place two winning colors in front of our dog to see what she likes – think – then choose something completely different. This time however, was different and I’m loving the new approach!
Sometimes following your gut feeling and making spontaneous decision is the best thing we can do. I’ve been longing for a darker shade in a bedroom for a while so I chose the ‘down pipe color‘ (1 wall) and ‘all white‘ (3 walls) by Farrow and Ball. It’s turned out exactly how I wanted a dark gray with blue/green undertones depending on the time of the day and light coming through the windows. Deep and stylish, calm yet with character. I can really get poetic when it comes to paints! Below a tiny sneak peek into how it looks, I will be working on the finishing touches in the next weeks as I need to get new bedside lamps, nightstands, art prints, linens…but I want to do it ‘con calma’ as the Italians say, no rush and enjy the process.
I wonder how do you usually approach restyling projects? Are you planning everything upfront or being spontanous and making decisions on the go like I did this time?
More photos and bedroom updates coming soon.
Have a good day guys!
