5 ways to make your home feel warm and cozy

3
Hello everyone! How are you?
What’s the weather like where you live?
Can you already feel that winter is just around the corner? I definitely can and that means… much more time spent at our lovely homes!
Here are 5 ways to make the atmosphere at home a bit warrrrrmer 🙂
1. Light, light light!
Every one knows that the warm glow of a candle light creates magical atmosphere but most of the people that I know, light their candles only for the ‘special’ occasions. If you have that habit too, you REALLY should change it. Candles can easily transform the environment, imbuing the room with comfort and warmth.
Place few candles around the room or on the table and enjoy the coziness of it. Feels nice, right?

2. Soft materials
Warm, knitted or velvet blankets, fluffy throw pillows and soft carpets are a must. They are a fantastic addition to the living room, simply draped over the sofa, adding a touch of style and colour in an instant. They make a room look comfortable, stylish and warm…which is exactly what we need during those cold days.

3. Seasonal color palette
Color palette is always a personal choice and it’s important that it suits our taste. If you’re drawn to a particular color, or have a little crush on a certain shade that’s a good place to start! My choice for this winter would be:
white, beige, grey and a bit of powdery pastel shades here and there.
What do you think about it?

              4. Decorate with seasonal accessories.
What I mean by this, are all things pretty that we have at home, hidden in the cupboards waiting for Christmas… My suggestion is, let’s not wait. Let’s take out some of our pretty ceramics, decorative vases, table cloths, lanterns or wreaths and d-e-c-o-r-a-t-e 🙂 Anything that suits the warm seasonal vibe and makes our eyes happy will be perfect to add a bit of charm.

5. Sweet treats
Hot chocolate and caramelized nuts are my favorite treats during winter. They look good and taste even better, especially when I’m all wrapped up in a warm blanket. Well, that’s the charm of winter, so let’s enjoy while it lasts.

There is always a time for a 10-days ‘miracle’ diet just before spring comes 🙂
